![]() I tried holding the seat and attempted to get up again. The first time I tried to get up it pinched my thigh so I sat back down right away. I was careful wiping the toilet and sitting down because I knew that when I got up the crack would expand while I was sitting and would retract when I got up. I used that one because I really needed to sit down (which shouldnt be the point but it was). One of the stalls didn't have a toilet seat, the other had a seat that was smaller than the toilet and had a crack in it. I walked over to the restrooms which had 6 stalls. (love her) While we were waiting for our breakfast I needed to use the restroom. She offered to take us herself to the restaurant and make sure we had breakfast. The restaurant manager wanted to right it so bad. She let the restaurant manager know that our food was awful. When we were done I let the concierge know that the shower didn't work and our food was awful. We at that point went to plan our excursion with the AMStar agent who wasn't really helpful and looked like it was a chore to help us. We figured let's just go get breakfast at the market (which is the buffet at Secrets). When I called room service, the only thing they could bring to the room was an American Breakfast - which consisted of 2 very runny COLD eggs - COLD TOAST AND COLD BACON. The next morning, because of Covid, we decided it would be a better idea to get breakfast in our room. Only the handheld part of the shower worked. When we got to our room, we figured we would take a shower to get the yucky feel of traveling all day off before dinner. This by itself annoyed me because I thought to myself, I've been traveling since 6:30am, why would I have that information handy? So that VIP treatment we received in Costa Rica was not the experience in St Marteen. I had to mention that we were part of the unlimited vacation club, where I was asked if I had my member number. still no champagne and no warm wet towels. ![]() ![]() We sat there in a dark lobby while he found our paperwork. We had to find someone sitting down to help us and who was annoyed to do so. When we got to the hotel, the concierge was sitting down in the dark space and we had to find someone to help us, whereas, when we got to Dreams in CR they were standing with warm towels and champagne. We got in a little after 4 and there was no one at the AMStar Desk. ![]() There should be a shuttle service or at least have an AMStar Rep at the airport. I am not one to complain much but it just seemed there were so many missed opportunities that made our trip questionable. St Marteen is such a beautiful place and I would really love to return but not so sure we will return to Secrets. I understand that this is a new Secrets property but it left so much to be desired. We thought, this is a 5 Star Hotel, this is going to be great. We booked our first vacation with the club to St. We agreed to join the club thinking if this is what we will get traveling as members of this club, we are in. We were treated so well and the level of service was unmatched. We traveled to Dreams in Costa Rica where we were approached about joining your club. To whom it may concern: My husband and I joined UVC back in July of 2021. ![]()
